HEAT’S ON

This is an annual program sponsored by the United Association of Journeyman and Apprentices of the Plumbing & PipeFitting Industry Local Union 412.  Using 70 – 80 volunteers they service furnaces, light the pilots and winterize airconditioners for low-income senior citizens and disabled individuals.   They average 150 homes each year.  In some cases where heating equipment is inoperable, they actually replace it with a new furnace free of charge to the client.  This extra service is limited by the amount of resources available.
