Alexis de Tocqueville Society Recognition and Giving Levels

Recognition is an important part of the United Way of Central New Mexico. We strive to thank our members in a way they appreciate and, if desired, provide them with public recognition so that their leadership in giving may inspire others. One of the chief means of recognition is our annual Leaders in Giving publication which is completely underwritten by Corporate Cornerstone dollars.

How members are recognized is completely up to them.  Members may choose to remain completely anonymous, or be anonymous in terms of United Way recognition but not to their designated agencies. We work with our members to create the kind of recognition they desire.  Changes can be made at anytime.

The following are examples of how members may be recognized:

With a photo in the Alexis de Tocqueville
section of the book

Without a photo in the Alexis de Tocqueville
section of the book

Anonymously in the Alexis de Tocqueville
section of the book

In lists of giving at your company,
either publicly or anonymously

ADT recognition

Photos are taken at events or photo sessions, or you may provide your own.

An additional recognition is offered those who designate some or their entire gift to the Community Fund. In our Leaders in Giving Book, we will print a fleur-de-lis next to your name or picture (if you are not anonymous) to show your support. An “L” will appear next to your name indicating you are a “Legacy” donor who has made a planned gift.  Donors who make multi-year commitments to the Society receive recognition for their commitment by being listed first as a group within their annual giving level.  Similarly, Members’ are also recognized by listing their names on the Recognition Hall outside of the Board Room at the administrative office of United Way of Central New Mexico.

According to our donor’s wishes, United Way of America provides additional member recognition in their national Book of Leaders publication.  This publication also provides photo recognition for members who give at the $100,000 level and above.

Within the Society there are several giving levels:
