Vision Society

The Vision Society is comprised of those donors whose philanthropic giving has reached a visionary level of generosity.  Being part of the Vision Society provides donors, making a combined annual gift of $5,000 to $9,999, opportunities to engage one another and our community at events designed to facilitate networking for philanthropic, social and business purposes. Through appreciation receptions and other distinctive events, we seek to acknowledge leadership and generosity in a way that honors family, community and the transformative power of giving.  Many of our donors have expressed appreciation for these opportunities to meet others who share similar philanthropic values about giving back.  The sense of connection this unique affiliation gives can be quite meaningful as well as enjoyable.

Giving at the visionary level encourages and inspires others in our community to catch the vision, join in, and participate in ways that create positive change. Members receive photo recognition in the annual Leaders in Giving Book and are listed in the hall of honor at the entry to the Board Room at the United Way of Central New Mexico administrative offices.

Ultimately, giving at any level is a personal decision that reflects ones deepest values and highest aspirations.  There are many compelling needs within our community; there are also significant numbers of people with very generous spirits who have the ability to envision how much better our communities can be.  These are the individuals who often stretch to become a part of The Vision Society. And United Way of Central New Mexico is the place where awareness and commitment come together to change lives. There is a wonderful African proverb, “If you have much, give from your wealth; and if you have little, give from your heart.”

The Vision Society is for those special individuals who extend themselves in order to be part of an ever-expanding collective of civic minded visionaries committed to improving and enhancing the quality of life in our communities.
