Tocqueville Society Engagement Events

"As soon as individuals with a cause have found one another out, they combine. From that moment, they are no longer isolated people, but a power seen from afar, whose actions serve as an example, and whose language is listened to."   â€“Alexis de Tocqueville

The Society holds a number of events facilitating fun, visiting, and philanthropic dialog among members. In 2011, the Society hosted or will host the following events:

  • An event in February for members only to thank all and to welcome new members at the Albuquerque Museum.
  • An event in early summer for members and selected guests. In June 2010, one of our donors opened up their home in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque for a special night of New Mexico Enchantment.
  • Tocqueville Tuesday, an ongoing bi-monthly "community learning series focuses on different aspects of the United Way of Central New Mexico's Community Fund. In January we welcome leaders from the city and local nonprofits to discuss solutions to homelessness in our community.

Thanks to our co-branding sponsors, these events are a free benefit of membership in the Society. They offer unique opportunities to connect with a likeminded assembly of Tocqueville Society leaders. They are also a great deal of fun. We hope you will be able to join us, as the conversations and discussions that take place have energized Society members for over a decade.
