Major Gifts Information

Leadership

Your generosity has the power, through setting an example, to inspire others to do more than they thought they could in helping their community. Support from the Corporate Cornerstone Companies covers 100% of United Way’s low 12.7% administrative costs. Therefore, your gifts may be designated for the GIVE UNITED Fund, any 501(c)(3) or both. Leadership donors have led the way in making our community a philanthropic leader in the nation, creating a source of pride and a powerful recommendation to companies and individuals considering Central New Mexico as a relocation destination while changing lives for the better.

Family Advocacy Center

Part of Advocating in your community is creating long-term change. Your United Way helped create this change in partnership with the City of Albuquerque and fourteen onsite agency partners by opening the Albuquerque Family Advocacy Center. The Center is a safe, secure and caring environment that focuses on the needs of victims of interpersonal crime.  The center is committed to providing victims of domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault and their families with a safe setting to assist in addressing and overcoming the trauma of their experience and break the cycle of violence that destroys families.
