Women in Philanthropy

"As a long time supporter of United Way, I was delighted when the Women in Philanthropy idea of investing my time and skills focused on improving opportunities for women in our community had an immediate appeal. It is a fact that in helping women, one is at once helping an entire family and therefore the lives of more than just an individual."

In 2010, Women in Philanthropy focused on supporting programs that have a direct and measurable impact on women’s self-sufficiency in central New Mexico. Specifically in the areas of improving high school graduation rates and/or assisting with GED completion; providing job/skill training for women to secure employment; and securing quality childcare as it enables women's employability.
